Congratulations to Mariann and Frankie
Back to overviewWell done to Flexadin Advanced sponsored agility handler and team GB member at the European Open Junior Championships, Mariann Bayliss.
Last week, young dog agility handler, Mariann Bayliss, set off on a 12 hour journey to the European Open Junior Dog Agility Championships in Luxembourg with dedicated parents, Jolene & Carl, and talented border collie, Frankie the Fidget Midget. After taking part in the spectacular opening ceremony, Mariann’s knees flared up and she had to make the choice no athlete ever wants to have to make at an international competition, bravely choosing not to run on Friday. With the help of the experienced team GB coaching staff, disappointments were put behind them for Saturday’s competition, and the pair kicked off with an excellent clear in the team agility, leading to a fantastic 3rd place and a podium finish for the team. Unfortunately Frankie just dropped a pole in the individual round, but overall it was a fantastic opportunity to compete at the highest level and a trip to be remembered and treasured.
Vetoquinol are very proud of Mariann and Frankie, and recognise the amount of hard work that has gone into reaching this point. We would also like to offer our congratulations to all of the competing GB teams who held strong against the best competition from across Europe. A massive well done from all of us, and we can’t wait to see what the remainder of the season brings for this talented pair!
